Hudson is ONE!

Well, it was bound to happen, my baby boy is ONE! It went by so much faster the second time around. Hudson is such a sweet little boy, and we have enjoyed this year so much! He has added so much joy to our family and I honestly can't remember what it was like before he was around. It is amazing how that happens so quickly.
A few things about Hudson at one:
1. He has 6 teeth now :) (4 at his actual birthday)
2. He is ALMOST walking. When he is feeling brave he will walk all the way across the room, although crawling is still faster.
3. He is a great eater and will eat just about anything. He out eats Liam at every meal!
4. He LOVES cars and shoes! OBSESSED with shoes! He puts them on his hands and crawls around the house, it is the funniest thing.
5. He signs some... nothing like Liam did, but some of his signs are: more, dog, hat, mom, juice, all done, eat, sleep, milk. I guess he has all of the important things covered :).
6. He loves his big brother and wants to be doing whatever Liam is doing. This does not always go over well with big brother...
7. He is still taking 2 naps a day (PRAISE GOD!) and sleeping from about 8pm to 8am every night. On occasion he will be up around 7:30, but still I can't complain about that!
8. He loves making messes, or shall I say "exploring". Pulling books off of shelves, toys out of the bins, movies out of drawers, tupperware out of cabinets, it is a wonderful phase:).
9. He is 21 lbs. which is only in the 58%. That is WAY different than his brother! Liam was always in the 98% LOL.
10. He is wearing 12-18 month clothes and size 3 shoes
I know I will think of some more little facts I want to add later, but that's all for now :).

Happy first birthday sweet boy, we love you more than you know!

Liam's 3rd Birthday

I know i have had a few months to let it all soak in, but it is still hard to believe I have a 3 year old. Liam has been such a blessing to us, and these past three years have been the best years of my life. When we decided to have children, I knew my life was going to change, but I didn't realize to what extent. Liam has taught me so much these past three years, and I am so grateful for each day I get to be his mom. We celebrated this little man with a birthday party at his preschool, a family trip to Monkey Joes, and a Scuba Diver party here at the house for family and friends. He is well loved and worth being celebrated!

Cupcakes with his class. They are all so cute!

Left over cupcakes for breakfast on his actual birthday. He LOVED that!

The swimming pool ball pit was a huge hit!

Halloween

I know I am MONTHS behind, but better late than never, I guess. Here are a few pictures of the boys dressed up for Halloween. Liam has been obsessed with Scuba Divers ever since we went to the aquarium this summer. So, to go along with the Diver theme we has Hudson be a shark. It was pretty cute :).

A Year for Billy

As many of you know, two of our closest friends, Billy Wilkerson and Ron Bailey were in a very serious car accident involving a drunk driver on July, 31st. As it is a complete miracle that they are both still here with us, they have a long road ahead in their recovery. This website has been set up for Billy and his family to help them through the next year. Please take a minute to check it out, pray about it, see where God leads you. If you are unable to help out monetarily at this time, please continue to lift both Billy, Ron and their families up in your prayers. This is going to be a long road, but with the love and support of friends, family, and complete strangers, they will begin to heal and make a new beginning. Thank you!

This is Billy and his AMAZING family :)

First Day of Preschool!

I can't believe this day is already here. I have been thinking, praying, and stressing about the details of this day since we signed him up months ago. God is SO gracious, and it went better than I could have ever imagined! We have been talking about it A LOT, so he was really excited and ready to go. Carpool was what I was most anxious about. I just imagined them pulling him from the car kicking and screaming. However, it was just the opposite. He jumped right out, waved, and said, "Bye, Mom". Yes, MOM. Not Mommy, or Mama, MOM! A little hesitation would have done this Mama's heart good, but I am glad it went so well :). The teachers said he did GREAT, and he actually CRIED when we got to the car and wanted to go back in! Maybe I will pray a little less next time (ha ha ha). Really, I am so blessed and relieved that he LOVES it!

Pancakes and bananas on his "special" plate for breakfast.

So excited to go to school!
Already sick of taking pictures...

Liam with Daddy

Sweet boys :)

Smiles with Mommy :)

Love this Kid!
So handsome!
Yeah, they have matching shirts. I'm ok with that.
Liam with his teachers. He did GREAT!!
(As you may notice, he is wearing different pants than when I dropped him off. Liam hasn't had an accident since maybe the first week of potty training, so I was concerned when I saw him in different pants. His teachers assured me it was totally their fault. You see, Liam has an aiming problem :). They now know to clear all items within a 10 ft. radius or else it will result in the need for new clothing. Oh, the joys of little boys :))

Fire Station Visit

Our neighborhood playgroup took a trip to the Fire Station yesterday. They did the "friendly firefighter" program for the kids. This is just where the fireman dresses up in all his gear and talks to the kids about how firemen help you. I thought for sure Liam would be scared of him in all of his gear, since he is afraid of everything, but he wasn't at all! I think it is because he got to actually see the man put each piece of gear on, instead of just coming out all dressed up. He was fascinated, and we all had a great time!

Liam with the BIG truck!

Liam was pretty sure after seeing the oxygen tank and the mask, that the firemen were in fact divers. Only fueling his current obsession with divers :).
